Fridays with Faith welcomes Cathy Houser and Lynise Parisien, Co-Directors of From Parents 2 Partners. Their mission: From Parents 2 Partners was developed out of a need to support young adults that are transitioning from a school environment, to a community environment, where parents and young adults need even more support to be successful in work and life. We are here to fill in some gaps that are not available to families and young adults; to help prepare young adults to live, work and play in the community and create a sense of ownership and independence in their lives. http://Fromparents2partners.com
Cathy Houser recently retired as regional account representative with the DRS Corporate connections Program at the Center for Literacy.
Lynise Parisien works for an agency, JobWise, that assist people with disabilities find meaningful employment.
Cathy and Lynise will share with us their backgrounds, their work with parents and students finding resources and help with disabilities, and why they have begun this venture together now.
